Pitfalls Vs Career Calibration

With the motivational cliché in mind that set backs are not losses, rather lessons learnt – one ought to look at such with a vantage point of less naïve attributes.


This is with the assurance that if a pitfall is encountered, a re-alignment towards career objectivity in alignment to desired goal in corporate environment is done in accord to retrospect of assuring dynamic encumbrances of the past are analyzed so as to address any and all intrinsic shortcomings to said desired role, and that respective shortcomings are remedied prior career resumption in accord to severity of pitfall and character attributes.


A short and precise resume so as to concisely jot down ones attributes and newly acquired insight to immediate corporate environment as well as the positives of hindsight that are in ones capacity of execution and or on the contrary remedy instances that may have swayed an individual to respective pitfall from let’s say obverse fight / flight mechanisms, skill harvests, etc.


Newly acquired insight will not only be the basis of shaping route for acquisition and or sharpening skill sets that will address obverse shortcomings by refining areas of weakness and or ones character and professional demeanor, but will also act as a retrospect alignment tool in accord to accomplishments that more or less may have been blurred by said intrinsic shortcomings early on in ones career and thus extrapolate said accomplishments towards desired direction in accord to desired role in corporate setting.


As aforementioned, such may be addressed in a resume that will look at pin pointing attributes that not only best define competencies and undermined competencies, but so too refined demeanor where resumption of career path at level of optimum capacity, if not required; where underselling said competencies is concerned.


A resume is only one of many items – where career calibration is concerned, but with external documentation of refined attributes of professional demeanor and or a portfolio based on individual achievement, attributes and intrinsic competencies to further bolster resume so as claims in said resume (if method of calibration is of choice) holds water! And are not based on empty shells…
N.B. Said empty claims may not necessarily be on the basis of achievements claimed being far-fetched, but rather in instances of skill harvests for example overshadowing one underlying competencies and accomplishments, and thus a misalignment in claims of ones achievements in resume and current professional demeanor, which may also in turn see referees a dis-service where it comes to potential offers of career advancements from stakeholder within and around corporate environment.


As where claims are in-tune to current demeanor exude by respective individual (with consistency of requisite), any mis-leverage of the past leniency against respective individual become insignificant and non credible; as a result of re-calibration of selling rightful potential and caliber of impact an individual boasts while so aligning and positioning oneself to desired role / calling in corporative environment of deployment.
